The AIHBA Education Standards Tier-Based TOT Program offers beauty professionals a structured, flexible path to becoming certified trainers. This three-tiered system—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—ensures that trainers develop progressively advanced skills through a combination of learning options or examinations.
Each certification focuses on one of three AIHBA Programs:
Candidates must enroll separately for certification in each program. For example, you can be a Bronze-certified trainer in Aesthetics & Skin Care, while also holding a Silver certification in Hair & Cosmetology.
Learning Options:

Eligibility: Entry-level certification for trainers.
Syllabus: Covers Year 1 (Semester 1 and 2) content in the chosen program
Examination Focus: Both practical and theory-based assessments on foundational knowledge and skills.
Scope: Bronze certificate holders are authorized to teach Year 1 students only in the relevant discipline.
Progression: Bronze Tier certification is the starting point for all trainers. It is mandatory to pass the Bronze examination before advancing to Silver.
Eligibility: Must hold a Bronze Tier certificate in the specific program.
Syllabus: Covers Year 2 (Semester 3 and 4) content in the chosen AIHBA program.
Examination Focus: More advanced practical and theoretical assessments focused on intermediate techniques and knowledge in all three programs.
Scope: Silver certificate holders can teach both Year 1 and Year 2 students in the relevant discipline.
Progression: Silver Tier candidates must have successfully passed the Bronze examination. This second level qualifies them to teach students up to Year 2. Once certified in Silver, candidates may apply for the Gold Tier Certification.
Eligibility: Must hold a Silver Tier certificate in the specific program.
Mandatory Learning: For the Gold Tier, candidates must complete 1 year of learning before taking the exam, as per UGC regulations. This is not optional and involves advanced training modules.
Syllabus: Covers Year 3 (Semester 5 and 6) content in the chosen beauty discipline.
Examination Focus: Advanced practical and theoretical assessments, focusing on specialized skills and comprehensive knowledge.
Scope: Gold certificate holders can teach all students across all three years in the relevant discipline.
Degree Program: Upon completing the Gold Tier, candidates receive an official UG Degree along with the Gold TOT certificate, marking them as certified to teach at the highest level.
