B.A. in Makeup Artistry - AEDP

Program overview

The B.A. in Makeup Artistry program is a 3-year degree that helps students learn the art of makeup. It teaches how to use makeup to change or improve someone’s appearance. This skill can be used in many places, such as fashion shows, movies, TV, theater, photography, and personal beauty services.

Makeup artists learn how to make people look their best or create special looks for characters in movies and TV shows. They also help people get ready for big events like weddings. With their skills, makeup artists can highlight someone’s natural beauty or transform their look completely.

The beauty industry is growing quickly. It is expected to be worth over $800 billion by 2025. New technology, like apps that let people try on makeup virtually, is making beauty services more popular. This means makeup artists who learn these new tools can offer better services.

The program not only teaches basic and advanced makeup skills but also includes lessons on how to run your own business. Students will learn about topics like special effects makeup, bridal makeup, hairstyling, and even photography. Graduates can work as makeup artists in salons, for media and fashion, or even start their own businesses.

The program offers both traditional and modern makeup techniques. Students also get real-world experience through on-the-job training with professional makeup artists. After completing the program, graduates will be ready to enter different beauty-related careers or even work internationally.
