B.Voc. in Aesthetics and Skincare - AEDP

Program overview

The B.Voc in Aesthetics and Skincare is a 3-year degree program that offers a deep understanding of both traditional and modern skincare and beauty techniques. The beauty and wellness industry is growing fast, thanks to new technology, rising awareness, and more acceptance of aesthetic treatments. This program prepares students to meet the demands of this expanding field by teaching a wide range of skills.

Students will learn about various services, such as facials, cosmetic procedures (like Botox, fillers, and laser treatments), wellness services, nail care, and hair removal. They will also explore the growing skincare product market, which includes everything from anti-aging creams to cleansers and sunscreens. The program addresses the needs of people from all walks of life, different age groups, skin types, and skin concerns.

Taking care of personal appearance can significantly boost confidence and mental well-being, which is why regular skincare routines are important. Skincare not only enhances beauty but also helps detect and prevent skin diseases, like skin cancer, early on. Social media and digital platforms have also made people more aware of the importance of skin health, increasing demand for skincare treatments.

The program teaches both basic and advanced skills. Students will learn everything from basic facials and skin analysis to advanced treatments. They will also gain knowledge in basic nail and makeup techniques, which are essential parts of the beauty industry today.

Graduates of this program will be well-prepared to step into various careers in the beauty and wellness industry, such as:

  • Aesthetician: A skincare expert who provides beauty treatments.
  • Spa Therapist: Someone who specializes in offering relaxing and rejuvenating treatments at spas.
  • Skincare Advisor: A professional who gives advice on the best skincare routines and products.
  • Non-Invasive Skin Treatment Specialist: A specialist in treatments that improve the skin without surgery.
  • Beauty Sales Advisor: A salesperson who works with beauty products and skincare items.
  • Skincare Marketeer: Someone involved in marketing and promoting skincare products.

The program also opens up opportunities for self-employment. Graduates can start their own businesses, such as opening beauty salons or wellness centers, and offer skincare and beauty treatments to a growing customer base.

This program gives students the skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-changing beauty industry, preparing them for a successful career in a field that continues to grow.
