Airport Security Officer

Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

1. Day
2. Time Mon 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
3. Tue 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
4. Sun 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter security-related risks and report any suspicious activity.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and daily activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when required, providing assistance during incidents as directed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to individuals as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
