Project Structural Fitter B As a Structural Fitter, you will work in a team alongside the structural fabrication team to accurately frame structural weldments using engineering drawings.

- This is a supplemental position located at the Solar manufacturing facility located in Channelview, TX
\n
- No relocation package is available
\n
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: - Perform Manual fit of structural subcomponents to achieve the requirements in the engineering drawing.
\n
- Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operations
\n
- Perform carbon arc cutting and gouging
\n
- Sanding may be required to prepare and dress welds
\n
- Use of common tools measuring and locating tools (tape measure, transit, etc)
\n
- Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, jib and overhead cranes to move and position work pieces
\n
Required Qualifications: - Must be able to pass structural fitter qualification test
\n
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a production environment
\n
- Ability to perform simple computer operations
\n
- Must be available to work 1st and 2nd shift
\n
- Ability to work overtime to support production demands
\n
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders and scaffolds
\n
- Ability to work well individually or in a team environment
\n
Desired Qualifications: - One (1) to three (3) years of Structural Fabrication experience
\n
Top Candidates: - Three (3) years or more of Structural Fabrication experience
\n
- Good Communication Skills and strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
\n
\n
**Candidates may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs**
Summary Pay Range: $22.74 - $34.11

- There will be cross-training and qualifications-based opportunities to earn up to an additional $2 per hour, with any night shift activity qualifying for another $3 per hour.
