Production Artist

Design Partners is seeking an experienced Production Artist, who is an expert in creative execution to work on a wide range of brand, digital, packaging and merchandising projects.

This position is On-Site, In Office

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing print-ready files for various types of printing processes
• Technical know-how of various printing processes (offset, lithography, digital, gravure, screen and flexo)
• Technical knowledge of color processes (CMYK, spot color and extended gamut)
• Mix of both creative and technical skills to create a finished product that meets brand goals.
• Attention to detail & superior organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with graphic designers (internal and agency partners) to execute final creative vision
• Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation including adjusting color balance, size and resolution to ensure that images are of the highest possible quality
• Conduct press checks when/if necessary
• Follow development timelines to ensure tasks and projects are completed on time
• Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities
• Troubleshoot problems with designers and printers to find solutions
• FDA food label guideline knowledge a plus
• Responsible for the accuracy and quality of a file
• Packaging, point of sale, display files
• Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat) Esko 3D software knowledge a plus
• File collection, packaging and pre-flight files for release as well as proof graphics files from printers
• Knowledge of HP printers
• Knowledge/experience with various project routing software a plus (Workfront, etc.)

Experience and Skills

5+ years experience in pre-press as a Production Artist

Education

A degree in a graphic design related field is a plus
