Remote Coding Specialist (Multi‑Specialty)

100% Remote

Pay Rate: $25-32/HR (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 Hour Days (morning start options available)

Assignment Type: 6 Month Contract (Permanent Conversion Likely)

Equipment Provided: No (candidate must supply their own equipment)

Join One of the Largest Health Systems in the DMV Region We are seeking two experienced Multi‑Specialty Coding Specialists to support our esteemed client—one of the most respected and expansive health systems serving Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned coders who thrive in a remote, production-driven environment and are ready to contribute their expertise to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately abstract and assign ICD‑10‑CM and CPT codes from provider documentation
• Perform Professional Fee (ProFee) coding across multiple specialties
• Code orthopedic services , including:
  • Office and hospital E/M encounters
  • Surgical and procedural services
• Support multi‑specialty and primary care coding needs
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast‑paced coding environment
• Collaborate with revenue cycle and clinical teams as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPC or CCS‑P certification (required)
• 2+ years of ProFee coding experience
• Orthopedic ProFee coding experience , including E/M and surgical coding
• Demonstrated experience with multi‑specialty coding
• Strong proficiency in abstracting ICD‑10‑CM and CPT codes
• Ability to meet established productivity and accuracy benchmarks
• Must provide your own equipment for remote work

Preferred Qualifications

• Primary Care ProFee coding experience
• Hospital‑based professional services coding experience
• Outpatient professional fee revenue cycle management experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Linthicum Heights, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
