Chief Perfusionist (Tuscaloosa, AL)

Epic Cardiovascular is seeking a highly-motivated candidate with a positive attitude who must be Board Certified (ABCP) or Board eligible, looking to join a great team!

Looking for a highly motivated perfusionist to complete a 2 member perfusion team. This account offers a laid-back schedule, 1/2 call responsibilities, and a very welcoming heart team. You should expect to work <20 hours per week. Procedures are primarily CABGs, few valves, and the occasional cell saver.

DCH Regional Medical Center is located in a beautiful, fun, college town with plenty of things to do! DCH is a 2 surgeon account (1 currently). The chief of cardiac surgery is very skilled, and easy to work with. This program has a long history of great outcomes, passionate team members, and an administration staff who understand what it takes to run a heart program.

Candidates should also possess the following:

1. Ability to adapt to a challenging clinical environment.
2. Must possess good communication and troubleshooting skills.
3. Must be able to practice evidence based medicine; also to advise and participate in clinical decisions with a team approach.
4. Candidate must have graduated from an accredited American perfusion program and be ABCP certified or board eligible.
5. Must be willing to relocate to Tuscaloosa, AL or the immediate surrounding area.

Estimated Compensation Range

$140,000-$165,000+ per year based on skills, experience and possible bonus opportunities

Epic Cardiovascular occupies a unique position in the industry, offering ample opportunity for professional growth through its diverse business approach. The candidate would be joining a total team of 2 perfusionists in Tuscaloosa, AL performing about 150 cardiac procedure per year.
