We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where attention to detail and accounting expertise are paramount. You will play a critical role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Utilize pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel to analyze financial data efficiently.
• Handle corporate tax returns, including preparing and filing sales tax and other related documents.
• Reconcile accounts and perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Use Abila MIP software for accounting tasks and financial reporting.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation as required.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and preparing corporate tax returns.
• Strong understanding of general ledger management and journal entries.
• Familiarity with Abila MIP software is highly desirable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work onsite initially, with potential for hybrid work after three months.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and required to undergo a standard verification process.
