We’re supporting our client, a leading packaging manufacturer based in Jeanette, Pennsylvania who are looking for a Production Manager to join their growing team. The successful Production Manager will have experience in a production management role within printing and packaging within folding carton manufacturing.

Essentials:

• Previous experience within the Folding Carton industry
• Experience with Platin Cutting Machines (boxed or Zerand)
• Experience with Flexography printing processes
• Expertise in folding carton and packaging technology

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day production activities for printing presses and platin cutting machines
• Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and workflow planning to meet production deadlines
• Monitor KPIs related to efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and safety
• Collaborate with maintenance, prepress, and design departments to ensure seamless operation
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in printing and die cutting operations to reduce downtime
• Ensure adherence to GMPs, quality assurance standards, and OSHA safety protocols
• Provide hands-on support and coaching to press and die cutting teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process optimization
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular performance reports for senior management

About You:

• 5+ years of experience in a production management role within printing and packaging, preferably folding carton manufacturing
• Strong working knowledge of offset printing, platen die cutting, and finishing equipment
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with paperboard substrates, inks, coatings, and die cutting tolerances
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in production tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite
