Position overview The New Business & Conflicts Analyst supports the firm’s Conflicts team by managing potential conflicts of interest related to client and matter intake, as well as new attorney and staff hiring. This position is fully remote and operates during West Coast business hours, with the opportunity for professional growth within a leading legal firm serving technology and life sciences enterprises globally. The role reports to the Senior Manager, New Business and Conflicts and other in-house counsel, and independently reports on potential conflicts of interest related to client and matter intake as well as new attorney and staff hiring. This position is available as a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Perform conflict of interest searches for new clients, new matters, and new hires for the assigned group and department mailbox Research corporate information Create new client and matters and update client information in the accounting database Communicate with various personnel within the firm to obtain requisite information to process new clients and matters Assist with other duties related to the resolution and clearance of new business and conflicts issues as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required 1+ years of relevant experience at a law firm in Conflicts preferred Excellent analytical and research skills Able to exercise independent judgment Able to work efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations may be listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $29.83 - $40.37 per hour; Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $26.98 - $36.50 per hour; Salt Lake City and all other locations: $23.71 - $32.07 per hour. The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
