Salary: $75,000-$80,000 annually DOE

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer (M-F 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) who shares our core values of doing excellent work, serving with humility and integrity, taking ownership, and partnering with team members. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into innovative design solutions. This role will involve using CAD software, performing engineering calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability criteria in a time sensitive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with customers to gather and understand design requirements, objectives, and specifications for parts and assemblies
  • Create detailed designs and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software
  • Interpretation of technical design details
  • Use tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure lengths, widths, heights, and diameters of parts to ensure they meet design specifications
  • Measurement and analysis of sample parts and machinery
  • Collaboration with customers, vendors, and other team members

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is preferred
  • 3+ years of mechanical engineering knowledge gained from education and/or experience
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling using SolidWorks or similar CAD software
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Basic competency using power and hand tools for assembly
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to dynamically shift priorities
  • Be humble, hungry, and smart

COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES

  • 80 hours paid time off your first year and 128 hours your second year. Get an additional 8 PTO hours each year (up to a maximum of 200 hours per year)
