Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

Join a team where you can contribute to revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. Our company is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Utilize hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
• Provide management support and demonstrate a working knowledge of boilers, electrical, plumbing, and building alarm systems.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Experience in interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building alarm systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• College education preferred.
• Experience in carpentry, painting, and preventative maintenance.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st Shift, with a 9/80A schedule, allowing every other Friday off. However, flexibility is required as work may be needed on off-Fridays or weekends. The role is based on-site with no telecommuting options.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bethpage, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
