LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join a well-established law firm in Jacksonville. This role will support attorneys handling medical malpractice defense and construction litigation matters. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex files in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation case files, scheduling, and attorney calendars.
• Draft, revise, and e-file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence in state and federal courts.
• Obtain, review, and summarize medical records; prepare chronologies and deposition summaries.
• Coordinate expert witnesses, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Assist with reviewing construction documents, organizing project evidence, and communicating with contractors, experts, and insurers.
• Prepare discovery responses, document productions, and trial notebooks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience; experience in medical malpractice or construction litigation strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures.
• Strong proofreading, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
