HR Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles within the manufacturing plant.
  • Oversee employee relations, grievance resolution, and disciplinary actions for a diverse workforce.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and manufacturing standards.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including wage structures, shift differentials, and production incentives.
  • Lead performance management processes, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety training programs, ensuring adherence to OSHA and plant safety regulations.
  • Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute workforce planning and talent development strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievance handling.
  • Experience with talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies for production and technical roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR initiatives related to safety, training, and performance management.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in union avoidance or collective bargaining.
  • Proficiency in a relevant second language, such as Spanish.
  • Prior experience with HRIS implementation or optimization projects within a manufacturing environment.
