What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in cake decorating techniques, specialty cakes, pies, and desserts
• Knowledge of bakery production and equipment
• A passion for customer service
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain and build upon our excellent reputation

Responsibilities:

• Preparing, decorating, packaging, pricing and merchandising specialty cakes, pies and desserts
• Assisting customers on the phone and in person
• Producing special orders and specialty items to customer specifications
• Informing customers about bakery products
• Ensuring stocking and rotation of all bakery products and supplies
• Maintaining clean, safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment
• May be required to utilize equipment such as mixers and ovens

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Outgoing, friendly, neat and professional
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to ensure excellent customer service
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Possesses basic math skills
• Strong organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day
• The ability to lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible hours

Education and Work Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least 2 years experience in cake decorating preferred
