Job Description

Our client is looking for an Engineering Project Manager for West Des Moines, IA!

Pay: $90,000 - $110,000 (DOE)

Hours: not limited to 8am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and PE stamping for Observation & Report and Design services
• Conduct on-site assessments, gather field data, and prepare written engineering reports that meet company SOP standards. Lead drafting coordination and review drawing packages for permitting
• Provide independent quality control reviews of calculations, reports, and drawings
• Support construction administration: site inspections, contractor coordination, compliance verification
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with sales, admin, and tech teams to keep projects on schedule
• Maintain PE licensure, continuing education, and up-to-date code knowledge

Requirements:

• Active PE license in Iowa (or ability to obtain within 3 months), additional Midwest licensure a plus
• B.S. in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• Willingness to travel within 60-mile radius, as needed
• Familiarity with FHA foundation requirements, ICC/IBC, NEC, and ASHRAE standards
