Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a
motivated and creative Interior Designer
to work alongside team on a range of residential projects. This is a
6-month contract position
with the possibility of extension, and we need someone who is ready to jump in immediately and work independently with confidence.

What You'll Do

You will play an active role in all phases of the design process, including:

  • Full
    furniture sourcing through installation
    concept, specification, ordering, tracking, and scheduling.
  • Research, drafting, and space planning.
  • Creating client presentations and
    FF&E schedules
    .
  • Drafting in
    AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp
    (must be proficient and able to use immediately).
  • Supporting project logistics: ordering, vendor communication, and tracking.
  • Attending site visits, client meetings, shopping trips, and installations.
  • Providing general office and design support as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of interior design experience
    (supporting a professional designer or running your own projects).
  • Proven ability to source, manage, and install full furniture packages (not just concept work).
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp
    with
    software installed on your own working laptop
    for contract use.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong technical and creative design skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proactive, self-sufficient, and comfortable working with little oversight.

Requirements

  • Must be
    based in Houston, TX or the immediate surrounding area
    .
  • Comfortable working
    from home or a remote location within Houston
    .
  • Available for
    local site visits, client meetings, and vendor sourcing trips
    .
  • Must have personal laptop with required design software installed and functioning.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
