About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity program. The CISO will be responsible for overseeing the security program's development, preparing and coordinating enterprise-wide IT security policies, and ensuring compliance with government-wide IT security regulations. This role involves directing and approving the planning, design, and implementation of secure IT systems, as well as monitoring and evaluating the security posture of the company's IT systems. The CISO will also be tasked with leading efforts to address security issues and technological advances, and formulating new security policies and processes. Applicants for the CISO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of IT security experience, with a strong background in federal IT security laws and regulations. The role requires a candidate with significant experience in managing an IT security program, security control implementation, and testing, and security awareness training. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle complex technical issues with a high level of personal integrity. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required, and professional certification as a CISSP, CISM, or other industry-recognized security credential is preferred. The CISO will also be expected to have a proven track record in developing and managing security plans, assessments, and authorizations, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
