Job Description

Our client, a world leader in providing integrated building technologies and services, is seeking an Assembler to join their team. As an Assembler, you will be part of the production department supporting the assembly of high-speed electric motors and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Assembler

Location: Salem, VA

Pay Range: $16.00/hr

Shift: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

• Assemble components with interference fits using ovens to heat parts and hydraulic presses.
• Perform basic electrical testing on components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
• Strip, crimp, and terminate wires as required.
• Utilize hand tools, epoxies, and adhesives to assemble electric motors according to work instructions and schematics.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace while adhering to company policies and procedures.

What's Needed?

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year assembly experience in a light industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and wiring diagrams with training.
• Must be able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and calipers.
• Physical ability to be on feet all shift and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
