Children's Aid Society is Hiring: Master's Level Art Therapist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Art Therapist to join our team. The Art Therapist will work with individuals and groups to provide therapeutic support through the use of creative arts to enhance emotional, mental, and psychological well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Assess clients' emotional, psychological, and developmental needs to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Use various art forms (e.g., drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.) to facilitate self-expression and therapeutic exploration.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, or a related field required.
  • Certification or licensure as an Art Therapist (e.g., ATR-BC) is required or the ability to acquire within 2 years
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania required or the ability to acquire within 2 years
  • Knowledge of ethical and legal standards in the practice of art therapy.
  • Familiarity with other therapeutic modalities or certifications (e.g., CBT, mindfulness, play therapy) is a plus.
